Located at the threshold of Tokyo’s
famed Ginza district in central Tokyo, the Seiyo Ginza provides
immediate access to the bustle of the Ginza’s main shopping
street, yet it also offers an oasis of tranquility when one wishes
to “get
away from it all”. With its grand marble staircase and reception
staff dressed in formal coats and tails, the hotel creates an atmosphere
more like a private club than a busy Tokyo hotel.
We
stayed in Suite 1120, pictured here, which has two large, comfortable
rooms with four windows offering views on both sides of the hotel.
The romance here is not so much in the views themselves — which
look out on Tokyo’s arterial
highways — but in the personalized service that one can look forward
to from the hotel’s solicitous staff and the feeling of
privacy that one gets when a guest at the hotel.
