The Grande Bretagne, as its web site
advertises, “a perfect
blend of stylishness, comfort and elegance” in the center
of Athens. Fully restored from 2001-2003, it combines up to date
amenities with old world charm. And its views, of the Acropolis,
Parliament Square, the National Garden and the Olympic Stadium,
cannot be surpassed.
There
are a number of rooms with views available at the hotel, but
the one we recommend most highly is Room 606, pictured here,
which features stunning views of the Acropolis, a huge and sunny
balcony, spacious and elegant accommodations with an open and
airy feeling.
