Splendidly located on Cannes’ acclaimed Blvd. La Croisette, along which all who come to this internationally known seaside in the South of France promenade, the Intercontinental Carlton Cannes adds a luxurious note to the marvelous perspectives that its beachfront cite provides. And on a fine day, which is so common here in season, one must dine al fresco in the hotel’s fine restaurant on the beach before strolling on the Croisette.

The hotel has some wonderful suites on the seventh floor. Named for the movie celebrities who have been here during the Cannes’ film festivals, they offer incredible views of the sea and the beach below. The one we liked most was the Sharon Stone suite, a huge pair of rooms with a balcony overlooking the sea and an alcove off the living room that makes you feel like a passenger on a ship cruising along the coast.
