Across the street from Rio’s famed Copacabana beach stands the Copacabana Palace. There are
several rooms in the hotel with views of the beach, but our favorite is Suite 303, a two room suite with
beautiful views of the beach from both rooms. The hotel also has great dining, both at the Cipriani
restaurant in the evening and the buffet lunch by the pool. Although Ipanema beach may be more
fashionable today than Copacabana, the Palace remains (in our opinion) Rio’s premiere hotel. And
the walk along the beach is great fun but remember to take plenty of suntan lotion.
