Suite 350
Llao Llao (pronounced “ sha
sha ”) may be the most
beautiful resort one will find in South America. Set at the confluence
of two blue water lakes which it overlooks and surrounded by mountains,
some white capped even in summer, the hotel has the warmth and
comfortable feel of a 1930’s ranch that has been updated
to suit contemporary visitors. It offers a wide range of summertime
resort activities, including golf on its own 18 hole course whose
fairways and greens meander along the hotel’s grounds, and
nearby skiing in the winter months. The hotel also serves excellent
food (in three restaurants with a lunch buffet in a sunny room
near the bar) and live music in the evening to accompany one’s
after dinner drink or desert.
We recommend Suite 350, which has
a wrap around balcony with spectacular views in two directions, a
comfortable sitting area and a large bedroom with the same views of lake, mountains and countryside. If
the Suite is not available, we suggest you request one of the suites or studios in the hotel’s new wing,
opened in 2008, all of which have large windows overlooking the lake one of the best of these is Studio
6303 pictured on the following page.
