Lincoln Room

     When we are in Southern Maine, we like to stay at least one night at Captain Lords Mansion in Kennebunkport.  Set in a picture-postcard New England village, this beautifully maintained inn is several notches up from the usual “bed and breakfast” that one finds in the area. When here we drive along the coastal road to Walker Point (the summer home of former President George H. W. Bush) or go to Perkins Cove in nearby Agunquit for a scenic walk on the Marginal Way at the ocean’s edge. The “Lincoln Room” shown here has four windows, two on each side and is beautifully decorated. The larger corner room, with similar views, is the “Captain’s Suite” where we plan to stay on our next visit.
